RED LIGHT THERAPY
Red Light Therapy involves the use of infrared light or heat to penetrate the body's tissues, promoting healing, pain relief, and overall well-being. By emitting infrared waves, this non-invasive therapy may stimulate circulation, increase cellular metabolism, and induce a deep sense of relaxation. Red Light Therapy is often utilised for various purposes, including reducing muscle tension, improving joint flexibility, aiding in wound healing, and alleviating symptoms of conditions such as arthritis or muscle strains.
DRY NEEDLING
Dry Needling - also known as Deep Tissue Acupuncture - is a specialised approach within acupuncture that focuses on targeting deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to address chronic pain, muscular tension, and imbalances in the body. Using thin needles, the practitioner applies specific techniques to access and stimulate the underlying tissues, promoting improved circulation, muscle relaxation, and the release of tension. This form of acupuncture is commonly sought after for its potential to alleviate chronic pain conditions, enhance mobility, and restore balance and harmony to the body's energy pathways.

PULSETTO
Pulsetto utilizes a technique known as vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), which involves sending gentle electrical impulses to the vagus nerve. This nerve acts as a communication hub between the brain and major organs, playing a key role in regulating mood, heart rate, and digestion. By stimulating this nerve, Pulsetto aims to induce a state of calm and relaxation, making it easier to manage stress and anxiety
What Do Our Clients Say?
"I would definitely recommend ProX to people, it sorted me out massively and I feel a lot better from my time at Pro Active. In all honesty I just didn’t think it would do what it did, but it did it 10 times more than I expected. The injury that bought me down happened whilst I was at work I was kneeled down and reached for my hammer and felt my back go, so I came down to Vanessa and after just a couple of session I was back on my feet with no issues and no pain. It was weird! I had been seeing a chiropractor but that hadn’t worked, but this PEMF is on a different level. Proper sorted me out!"

PEMF
What is PEMF therapy?
PEMF therapy stands for Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy. It involves the use of electromagnetic fields to improve health and promote healing. These pulsed electromagnetic fields are applied to the body through specialized devices.
How does PEMF therapy work?
PEMF therapy works by delivering electromagnetic pulses to the body's cells and tissues. These pulses stimulate cellular activity, increase blood flow, and enhance the body's natural healing processes. PEMF therapy has the potential to help rebalance cellular functions and address a range of health issues.
Why do people use PEMF?
At Pro Active, our clients use PEMF Therapy to promote recovery from injury, boost performance, manage pain, and enhance their wellbeing.

PEMF therapy has also been explored as a complementary treatment for various other conditions, including inflammation reduction, improved circulation, stress reduction, enhanced sleep, and even promoting bone healing, however its effectiveness varies from person to person.
Is PEMF therapy safe?
Generally, PEMF therapy is considered safe when used as directed. It is non-invasive and does not involve the use of drugs or surgery. However, it's important to use PEMF devices that are approved by relevant health authorities and to follow the manufacturer's guidelines. Individuals with certain medical conditions, such as pregnancy, epilepsy, or implanted electronic devices, should consult a healthcare professional before using PEMF therapy.
How is PEMF therapy administered?
PEMF therapy is typically administered using specialized devices that generate electromagnetic pulses. These devices come in various forms, including mats, pads, rings, and handheld applicators. Users lie on, sit, or place the device on the targeted area of the body. Treatment sessions can vary in length and frequency, depending on the specific device and the individual's needs.
Does PEMF therapy have any side effects?
PEMF therapy is generally considered safe and well-tolerated. Some individuals may experience mild side effects such as temporary discomfort, tingling, or muscle twitching during or after the session. These effects are usually short-lived and should be reported to your practitioner if they persist.
Can I use PEMF therapy alongside other treatments?
PEMF therapy is often used as a complementary or integrative approach alongside traditional medical treatments. It's important to inform your healthcare provider about any complementary therapies you are using to ensure they are coordinated safely and effectively.
