Your choice matters

Strictly necessary technologies are used to operate requested features and security.

Analytics and marketing technologies are optional under Pro Active's current consent model and should not be activated until you choose to allow them.

1. What this Cookie Policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Pro Active uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on pro-active.life and on Pro Active pages and booking journeys powered by Pulse.

For simplicity, we use the word "cookies" in this policy to include browser cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and similar technologies that store or access information on your device.

Server-side processing that does not itself store or access information on your device is explained where it is linked to these technologies.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website or browser. They can help a site remember a session, keep a user signed in, retain a booking selection, remember privacy choices, measure how a service is used or support advertising measurement.

Some technologies are set by Pro Active or Pulse (first-party technologies). Others are provided by organisations such as Google or Meta (third-party technologies).

3. Our cookie categories

Strictly necessary

What they are used for:
Security, authentication, booking/session continuity, fraud prevention, load balancing and remembering privacy choices.

Consent position:
Used where necessary to provide a service you request or another legal exception applies. These cannot always be switched off through the consent banner.

Preferences / functionality

What they are used for:
Remembering selected settings or improving the way a requested service appears or works.

Consent position:
We ask for consent where required. A narrow legal exception may apply to certain preference functions if its conditions are met and a simple free way to object is provided.

Analytics

What they are used for:
Understanding site traffic, journeys, page usage and technical performance.

Consent position:
Under our current model we treat analytics as optional and ask for consent before enabling non-essential analytics. UK law also permits a narrow statistical-purpose exception in some configurations, but it does not cover tracking individuals or advertising measurement.

Marketing / advertising

What they are used for:
Meta Pixel, campaign attribution, conversion measurement, advertising audiences and related identifiers.

Consent position:
Consent required. Advertising-related storage/access is not treated as strictly necessary and is not covered by the statistical analytics exception.

4. Technologies we currently expect to use

The precise technologies present can vary by page, device, browser and service configuration.

The following identifies the principal technologies Pro Active expects to use. Where a named provider changes its technology, we will update this register as part of our cookie audit.

Consent preference storage

Purpose:
Remembers the privacy choices you make so we do not repeatedly ask and can apply them to the site and booking journey.

Typical duration:
Persistent; intended to be kept for up to 12 months unless you change your choice or clear browser storage.

Session / booking / journey identifiers

Purpose:
Maintains an assessment, booking or journey session, links steps requested by you and supports security and continuity.

Typical duration:
Session or limited persistent period appropriate to the journey; server-side booking records may be retained under the Privacy Policy once a transaction or account record is created.

Authentication/session storage

Provider: Pro Active / Pulse
Category: Strictly necessary

Purpose:
Keeps an authenticated customer or staff session working securely and prevents unauthorised use.

Typical duration:
Session or the period needed for the selected sign-in function; security tokens are rotated or expire.

Wix essential technologies

Where the main website uses Wix.

Provider: Wix
Category: Strictly necessary / functionality

Purpose:
Website delivery, security, session management and core site functions.

Typical duration:
Varies by Wix technology and function.

Category: Analytics

Purpose:
Distinguishes users for website analytics when analytics consent is enabled.

Typical duration:
Google default: up to 2 years, subject to browser limits and our configuration.

Purpose:
Maintains analytics session state when analytics consent is enabled.

Typical duration:
Google default: up to 2 years, subject to browser limits and our configuration.

_fbp

Provider: Meta
Category: Marketing

Purpose:
Meta browser identifier used for advertising measurement and conversion attribution when marketing consent is enabled.

Typical duration:
Typically up to 90 days.

_fbc

Provider: Meta
Category: Marketing

Purpose:
Stores a Meta click identifier derived from a valid Facebook/Instagram advertising click for attribution when marketing consent is enabled.

Typical duration:
Typically up to 90 days.

fbclid and campaign/UTM parameters

Provider: Meta / campaign source / Pro Active / Pulse
Category: Marketing / attribution

Purpose:
Identifies the campaign, advert or referring source that brought a visitor to a page. URL values may be captured only in accordance with the applicable consent choice and then stored server-side as attribution data.

Typical duration:
URL parameter for the visit; any server-side attribution record is retained in line with the Privacy Policy.

5. Google Analytics

Where Google Analytics is enabled, it may collect information such as page visits, session statistics, approximate location derived from network information, device/browser information and interactions with the website.

Under Pro Active's current consent model, analytics cookies are not activated until you choose to allow analytics.

If we later use the UK statistical-purpose exception for a qualifying aggregate analytics implementation, we will only do so where the legal conditions are satisfied, including clear information and a simple free means of objecting, and where the information is not used to identify, track or profile individual visitors or for advertising.

6. Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API

Where you allow marketing technologies, Meta Pixel may store or read marketing identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc and record events relating to visits and conversions.

These identifiers help Pro Active understand whether advertising on Facebook or Instagram contributed to a booking or other conversion.

Pulse may also send permitted conversion information to Meta through the Meta Conversions API.

The Conversions API is a server-to-server mechanism and is not itself a cookie, but it may use identifiers obtained from the browser-side marketing technologies described above to improve event matching and attribution.

We do not enable Meta advertising measurement based on an analytics-only choice. Marketing consent is treated separately, and we do not intentionally use detailed health screening answers for advertising.

7. When consent is required

UK privacy rules generally require clear and comprehensive information and consent before non-exempt information is stored on or accessed from your device.

Consent must be given by a clear positive action and must be capable of being withdrawn.

Advertising and advertising measurement require consent. We do not treat continuing to browse the site as consent to marketing technologies.

Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where they are essential to provide a service you request, such as maintaining a secure login, remembering items or selections needed for checkout, preventing fraud, or remembering your cookie preference.

8. How to manage your choices

You can use the Pro Active cookie banner or Cookie Settings / preference control to:

• Accept optional analytics and marketing technologies
• Reject optional technologies
• Choose categories individually
• Change or withdraw a previous choice through the cookie settings control

Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful, but we will stop using the relevant optional technologies for future activity on that browser/device once your revised choice takes effect.

You can also use browser settings to delete or block cookies and site storage.

Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent parts of the website, booking process or account from working correctly.

9. Third-party controls

Third-party providers may offer their own privacy or advertising controls. Those controls are separate from Pro Active's consent mechanism.

Using a provider's external opt-out does not necessarily remove Pro Active cookies already stored on your device, so you may also need to update our cookie settings or clear browser storage.

10. Retention and periodic review

Cookie lifespans shown in this policy are intended or typical maximums and can be shortened by browser rules, our configuration, deletion of browser data or a change in technology.

We periodically review our live sites and update this policy where the cookie inventory or purpose materially changes.

Personal information derived from cookies may be retained for a different period once it forms part of a booking, consent, security, analytics or advertising record.

Those retention rules are explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, suppliers or legal requirements change.

The current version will show the latest update date at the top of the page.
