PEMF therapy for
sciatica
Sciatica - pain, tingling or numbness radiating from the lower back into the leg. It can be one of the most debilitating forms of back pain. PEMF helps by reducing nerve inflammation and the cellular dysfunction around the compressed sciatic nerve, not just masking the pain.

With Pro Active's PEMF therapy, I've seen injuries heal at a rapid rate — sometimes more than twice as fast as I would usually expect.

How it works
Why PEMF helps with sciatica
Fibromyalgia involves central nervous system sensitisation — the brain amplifies pain signals, compounded by disrupted sleep, low energy and widespread cellular dysfunction. PEMF targets all of these from the cellular level up.

Reduces nerve inflammation
Sciatic pain is largely driven by inflammation around the compressed nerve. PEMF modulates the tissue inflammation that causes nerve irritation and pain.

Promotes disc healing
Where sciatica is caused by disc bulge or herniation, PEMF supports healing by improving the cellular environment at the affected spinal level.

Reduces nerve sensitisation
Prolonged compression sensitises nerves to fire pain excessively. PEMF restores normal nerve function, reducing this sensitisation over a course of sessions.

Releases muscle spasm
Protective muscle spasm worsens sciatic compression. PEMF reduces tension and spasm, relieving this secondary pain source.
